During these hot days when we are so grateful for a drink do we also come to Jesus and say ‘Lord I am thirsty’? His reply in John 4 v 14 is ‘ whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.’
Do we trickle with God’s life-giving Spirit or does it flow and gush from us. Talking to Jesus every day keeps the tap turned on full and enables us to be like a well-watered garden. Isaiah 58 v 11
