In Conversation with Jesus

In your conversation with Jesus hear Him say as He said to his friend Martha,‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die, and who-ever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?’ John 11 v 25 What is your response? Do you question Jesus or do you say as Martha did ‘Yes Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Read more…

Approach Jesus as a friend.  This is one of the keys to effective, powerful prayer and conversation with Jesus. In John 15:15, Jesus calls us His friends. And we can continue developing a friendship with Him by sharing our life and simply talking to Him.  Jesus wants prayer to be simple—like breathing. It should be something that feels easy and natural…something we can do anywhere, anytime. Discover more ‘Conversations with Jesus’ by clicking here or visiting our blog page. Read more…

War – or peace?

Observant consumers of the Grove Community News may have noticed the absence of the usual Thoughtslot this month. I missed the deadline! This is more or less what I wrote: “Jesus said, ‘Blessed are the peace makers,’ he might have added, ‘Blessed are the peace inheritors’.” Which, of course, is what we are. This month we celebrate the centenary of the cease-fire which ended the First “World War”, at 11am on 11th November 1918. At Read more…
