Members of Grove Parish Church are involved in many areas of the communities in and around Grove and Wantage.  In particular the church supports and sponsors:

Local Schools

We have very good links with both our local Primary Schools, Grove C of E School  and Millbrook School

Cornerstone Cafe and Christian Bookshop

Tucked away in the heart of Grove since 1995, Cornerstone is a café, bookshop and venue run by four churches working together. Staffed by both professionals and volunteers we have a reputation for quality food and special ambience. They also offer free WIFI!

A Tea Party is held 2-3pm on the 3rd Saturday in each month for St John’s congregation.

Food Bank

The Wantage and Grove Foodbank is a practical, community-based project, organised by local churches, which provides food parcels to those in our immediate area who find themselves temporarily in difficult circumstances.
They are dependent upon donations of food and are staffed by church volunteers.

Street Pastors

Wantage and Grove Street Pastors are church members with a concern for society – in particular, young people who feel themselves to be excluded and marginalised. They are willing to engage people where they are, in terms of their thinking (i.e. their perspective of life) and location (i.e. where they hang out – be it on the streets, in the pubs and clubs or at parties etc). You can find them on the streets of Wantage centre on many Friday and Saturday nights.
