We are four churches that are linked by a common desire to bring God’s love to our local communities. We are currently led by our Associate Vicar Alec Gill.
The Vale Benefice was formed in 2013 and consists of four parishes: Grove, which was previously a single parish with one Vicar, and three other parishes – East Challow, Denchworth, and East & West Hanney, which had been a group of churches with one Vicar for 18 years. Each parish exists in its own particular context, and we are a diverse group of churches with a range of styles and traditions. Nevertheless, we have in common a deep commitment to serve our communities, alongside a desire to work collaboratively and creatively as we seek to embody God’s kingdom in this beautiful part of Oxfordshire.
