Alec Gill

We moved to the Vale Benefice as a family in 2016, following my curacy in Thatcham. Before becoming a vicar, I spent ten years moving around South England doing Church youth ministry.

I have been involved in the church all my life; I became a Christian when I was 12 on my staircase, I accidentally became the leader of the Christian Union at University and have been a leader on a Christian residential holiday since 1999.

I am married with four children and one cat! 🐈

Associate Vicar

Miriam Jones

After four years of ministry in the Diocese of Newcastle, I am excited to be beginning a new chapter in the beautiful Vale Benefice as your new Associate Vicar. Before moving to the UK in 2019, I lived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where I was brought up in an international family with American and Canadian roots.

My husband Thomas and I have three daughters and a son: Emily (13), Julia (10), Zoe (8) and Adam (4). In my free time, I enjoy reading, board games, long walks and long conversations. I look forward to getting to know you all in the months ahead, and to discovering together what God has in store for us!
