Guess which one is me? I spent my childhood in central Thailand with missionary parents, serving as doctors where, at the time, there was no medical care available to the public. We returned to the UK and I spent my teenage years in West London, before studying in Manchester where I met James.
James and I married in 2000 and have lived in various locations across the south of England. We accidentally came across an Anglican church in 2000 and have not left it since! We love the concept of local parish ministry – and have been supported, or led, three church plants or fresh expressions of church. Following a career break with kids, I returned to the mission world in 2013 working for Mission Aviation Fellowship International, serving in their finance team. In 2025, we felt led by God to move to Wantage to join Barnabas Aid and we quickly joined you all in Grove. We have three young adult kids, Dan, Twizz and Mez, who you will see around with us. James and I are well aware we don’t know everyone yet so please come and say hi!
It is a privilege to serve as your treasurer, however I have a busy job and so will be ably supported by Benita Hiley as our bookkeeper. Frank and Sue will be handing over to us in the coming weeks – you can find me on GroveTreasurer@valebenefice.org.uk
